There are no secrets
Social media would have you believe that there is a secret ingredient that will guarantee you results. My 16 year old daughter was asking me about chia seeds this evening. She has seen posts all over tik tok stating that you can lose weight by drinking chia seed water. This is most likely due to the natural laxative effect of chia seeds.
While chia seeds do have some health merits one cannot truly effectively lose weight by drinking chia seed water alone.
I hate to burst some bubbles here, but there are no quick fixes, or secrets that will have you lose significant amounts of weight and keep it off.
What does work?
Old school hard work.
Daily workouts, moving your body in ways such as strength training, walking, and sprint training.
Reducing your calories. You cannot defy the law of thermodynamics.
Calories in and calories out.
While it can be harder for some women to drop weight. Sometimes you can do all the things and the weight is still stubborn.
Sleep, stress, medical issues, horomones all impact weight loss.
So while you can put in the work and still struggle to lose weight, I can guarentee that you will see other non-scale victories.
